About the Board

Members of the DLL Board preside over the needs of the league for a term of two years.  A new term commences every August, following the election.  Each board member volunteers their personal time to ensure fields are maintained, uniforms are purchased, vendors are managed, communications are published, registration is taken care of, rules are established, teams are created, managers and coaches are selected, and sponsorships are secured. The board formally meets each month throughout the year, and informally in subcommittees as needed.

Elections for new boards are held annually. Since there are 12 positions on the board, serving 2 year terms, each year 6 positions come up for election.  This staggers membership and provides for better continuity.  Voting is by secret ballot and takes place on July 4th, either at the annual Pancake Breakfast fund raising event or at the Little League park during the various Fourth of July Exhibition Games. Please vote in the next election!

The DLL Board generally meets the first Thursday of every month at 7:30 PM.  On occasion, there will be additional special meetings on an ad hoc basis.  For the monthly, regular meeting the first portion is dedicated to public comment and participation.  If you'd like to participate during the public comment section, please contact our secretary@davislittleleague.org

How can I help?

DLL is a 100% volunteer organization, from the Board members… the coaches… the scorekeepers… the pancake breakfast workers…

If you’d like to be more involved, please contact anyone in the above list, come to a board meeting, or consider running for the board.

It’s a great way to help and support the youth of Davis!
