Davis Little League COVID-19 Update

Davis Little League’s (DLL) mission is to provide an environment and opportunities for the youth of Davis to play baseball. DLL wants to continue to offer that opportunity, despite the challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, DLL is committed to the safety of our players, families, coaches, and other volunteers, and this document serves as the foundation of our safety plan this year.

DLL acknowledges that conditions and guidance from the State, County, and City change frequently and will adopt practices accordingly.

DLL further acknowledges that as a volunteer-run, non-profit organization, it lacks the expertise to develop unique or special protocols to effectively combat COVID-19. As such, DLL will rely on the guidance issued from the State of California, Yolo County, and City of Davis, Little League International, and the CDC. DLL will also engage and consult with local health officials to determine the best practice for our organization.

DLL will comply with the State of California guidelines with respect to COVID-19:

  • Get vaccinated.  Most of our player's can't be protected in this way yet, and more vaccintated adults keeps the kids safer.
  • Mask up (when indoors in public, and give others space when you can).
  • Wash hands frequently.
  • Stay home when sick and get tested.

This document will be modified and updated as guidelines for COVID-19 change during the season.
