FAMILIES - There are 3 documents you need to download, print, sign, and turn into your managers at your first meeting. They include:
Your player cannot take the field until your manager has these forms in their possession. Please do not email these forms to your manager. They need hard copies of all three forms.
NEW VOLUNTEER ROLE - SAFETY PARENT
We have a new role this year, Safety Parent. This volunteer role is requred for every team in DLL and this role also requires a background check.
This parent volunteer role helps your managers with COVID Guidelines to which every team must adhere. They include the usual precautions of helping the coaches maintain social distancing and mask-wearking of players while not actively on the field of play. They will also screen all players upon arrival to practices and games and are responsible for sanitizing equipment between uses and helping players sanitize their hands during practices between drills.
Please see the attached handout below for the full description of this new and important role this year. Any questions? Email our Safety Officer, Carina Bender-Abrams.
VOLUNTEER BACKGROUND CHECKS
DLL requires that all managers, assistant coaches, extra coaches, umpires, safety parents, and board of directors submit for a background checked by our 3rd party vendor JDP. Team Parents and Scorekeepers are NOT required to do a background check. All volunteers (including team parents and score keepers) must also be registered in our Sports Signup Play system. All volunteers can visit our Register to Volunteer page for instructions in how to register and complete your background check. Any quesitons, please email Jennifer Anderson.
**The links/attachements below do not work on the Sports Signup Play app. You must download them from our website on a web browser.
